Conflict within the workplace creates unneeded stress for those who are not directly involved. It adversely impacts as company’s performance and production, as well as its employee absenteeism, disability and turnover rates. SAGE offers conflict resolutions services that are designed to address difficult and complex workplace conflicts both quickly and effectively. Conflict resolutions services offer corporations the opportunity to resolve conflicts among colleagues, managers, employees and/or work groups in a confidential, respectful and productive manner. SAGE also ensures that participants to the process are encouraged to learn the necessary skills to prevent future conflicts and resolve them without having to resort to external third party assistance.
The mediators’ role is that of an impartial facilitator, who guides the decision-making process and helps parties consider and choose their best options to resolve their situation. The process is completely voluntary and confidential with all parties agreeing in writing that statements made during the mediation will not be used in court, or during the grievance process should negotiations breakdown. A final document may be drafted by the mediator to summarize the key points that form the basis of their agreement.
Professional mediators are all provincially or nationally licensed master level social workers, counselling therapists or lawyers with at least 5 years of experience and possess the added designation of being trained as mediators and conflict resolution specialists.
Family mediation is a cooperative, problem solving process in which a specialized counsellor or lawyer facilitates a problem solving process in order to resolve issues related to couple separation and divorce. Family mediators are able to assist separating or divorcing couples in resolving family law issues such as child custody and access, support payments and division of property without having to resort to more expensive and emotionally demanding litigation processes.
Mediators act as impartial facilitators who guide the decision-making process without taking sides or making decisions. This helps the parties to freely consider their options and choose the best alternatives for their particular circumstances.
Mediation allows for an agreement to be reached which can serve to vary an existing court order or finalize a divorce.
The process is completely voluntary and confidential; with both parties agreeing in writing that all statements made during the mediation cannot be repeated in court should negotiations breakdown. Professional family mediators are all provincially or nationally licensed masters level social workers, counselling therapists or lawyers with a least 5 years of clinical experience and possess the added designation of being trained as mediators and conflict resolutions specialists.
